Health and Safety briefing
Health and safety is our top priority; before your first visit, someone will meet you on site; this only needs to be done once. If there are multiple family members that wish to access the cage, they will all need to attend (or the person doing the health and safety briefing will always need to be on site).
We know no one likes rules. But this is something that we want to last for future generations, and to ensure we can achieve that, we need to make sure a few simple rules are followed:
Access to container
- How to open the door
- Lights
- How to open the swing doors
How to use Machines
Iron mike
Turing on
Turing off
Increase/decrease speed
increase/decrease height
2 person machine
Health and Safety
- Helmets are to be worn at all times while in the batting area
- There must be at least two people on site when the machines are in use (this could be a parent watching from outside)
- One person on site must be over the age of 16 (or approve given from the committee)
Rules
- Your access is for YOU only; this is NOT to be shared. You can bring people to join you, but YOU MUST BE ON SITE.
- No balls are to be removed from the cage.
- If you access the container and it's in a mess, or things are missing. Take a photo and get in touch right away - so we can determine the person before you.
- We are working on a 1 strike policy - consider this your ONLY warning. If you break this, your access will be terminated, and NO refund will be given.
**Kapiti Softball Committee retains the right to change/amend the above at any time, with no warning given.
Closing container
- Turn off machines (all places)
- Close swing doors
- Turn off lights
- Use the August app to close the door
- Check
